World's Biggest Bottle Share on 30th

Join friends and make new ones during the busiest craft beer weekend in America's craft beer capital! 
In celebration of this glorious "brewer's" week (kind like a baker's dozen, only more fun), and in the spirit of sharing that we all grew up with.


How it works

1. Buy: Buy your ticket HERE

2. Sign up for a signature taste at 3 locations on 30th - Go to www.sdbottleshare.com and complete the form at the bottom of the page.

3. Day-of Register: Pick up your registration materials on the day of between 11am and noon from any of the even registration stations (Alchemy, The Homebrewer, behind the North Park Theatre, and Polite Provisions)
4. Line up: Line up along 30th Street anywhere from Polite Provisions to Alchemy/Hamilton's by 12:00 p.m. sharp! Help us make an awesome human chain of craft beer lovers!
5. RIDE: You'll get a wristband that allows you to ride the length of 30th Street stopping at multiple locations to share beer, buy from the bar and chat about adventures with friends!

AABA Member Mixer at Clem's Tap House

Join your neighboring Adams Avenue business owners at the AABA member mixer on Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Clem's Tap House, 4108 Adams Ave. It is a great opportunity to meet other business owners and find out what the AABA is planning next!

Bikes, Brews & Brats

Join in the second annual Bikes, Brews & Brats event on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM!
As part of San Diego Beer week there will be a Mountain Bike ride from Cal Coast Bicycles to the Regal Beagle via a scenic route through Balboa Park & Mission Hills. Cafe 21 Vegan Options for Thanksgiving

Taste of University Heights

The 2014 Taste of University Heights will take place on Sunday, November 9th, Noon to 3PM in conjunction with the University Heights Arts Open. The $20 Taste tickets can be purchased in advance at www.UHCDC.org or at the UHCDC Office (4452 Park Blvd, Suite 104).

The SBA and the City Heights Business Association are hosting a workshop on Thursday, Nov. 13th from 7:30 to 10:30 AM at 4305 University Ave, 6th Floor Conference Rm. Adams Avenue Street Fair

Thank you to all the volunteers, musicians, vendors, contractors, business owners and employees, and especially all of the people who came out to enjoy the 33rd Annual Adams Avenue Street Fair. It was an amazing turn out on a beautiful weekend.

Adams Avenue Bicycles Grand Opening

Adams Avenue Bicycles is under new ownership and hosting their Grand Opening on Thursday, October 30th from 4-8 PM. The first three people to purchase a 2015 bicycle get a 20% discount and a free helmet. Show up and help welcome the new owners to the neighborhood

State of California Unveils New Tax Credit for Employee Expansion

Speaker of the California Assembly, Toni Atkins, and our own 78th Assembly District Representative, is promoting a new program designed to help small business owners. The California Competes Tax Credit is an income tax credit available to businesses who seek to add new employees. Applications are accepted online and it is free to apply at www.calcompetes.ca.gov

Adams Avenue Street Fair

The Adams Avenue Street Fair, Southern California's largest FREE two-day music festival, occurs annually on the last weekend of September, on Adams Avenue. Located in the Normal Heights community of San Diego, the festival includes 8 stages, over 100 musical acts, beer gardens, a beer taste, giant carnival rides, exotic foods, and 350 arts and crafts booths! The Street Fair offers fantastic entertainment for all ages, all weekend.

This year's 33rd annual Street Fair occurs on Saturday, September 27th from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, September 28th from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. See WEBSITE for more info.

The Adams Avenue Business Association (AABA) is offering the opportunity to highlight your business by purchasing an ad in the official Street Fair program. During the weekend of September 27th and 28th, thousands of Street Fair revelers will be viewing our free program handout for valuable event information. 10,000 programs will be produced and distributed. Reduced Street Sweeping Hours on Adams

Newly reduced "no parking" times associated with street sweeping are positively affecting businesses on Adams! A big thanks to Council President Todd Gloria's office for supporting our small business communtiy. The "no parking" hours have changed from 7am-10am to 7am-8am to accommodate the City's twice weekly sweeping of Adams Avenue. Please note, monthly neighborhood street sweeping surrounding Adams has been changed from 7-10am to 10-1pm.

The Normal Heights Community Association and Normal Heights United Methodist Church present summertime Movies in the Park. Taste of Adams Avenue
Taste of Adams Avenue was a hit again this year with 30 restaurants participating in the delicious walkabout. Thank you to all the venues who made the event great, and all the tasters who came out to enjoy a lovely Sunday afternoon on Adams.
 
Art Form Wins Eco Ambassador Grant
Congratulations to Art Form, a non-profit art program on Adams Ave that uses recycled materials and a lot of imagination to help kids create recycled masterpieces. They won the 2014 Eco Ambassadors People's Choice Campaign, and a $25,000 grant from SDG&E and the San Diego River Park Foundation. With the grant Art Form can serve 5 times as many kids as they are currently serving!

Alex's Lemonade Stand
This is the 9th year a local group has hosted a stand for pediatric cancer research! Come drink some lemonade, listen to music from local bands, learn about the Foundation, and what you can do to help. The event will be July 26th from 10AM-6PM at 3366 Adams Avenue (Masonic Lodge parking lot) in Normal Heights.
There will be a live broadcast all day with FM 94.9, and Legoland Park Hopper tickets will be available while supplies last. There will be a silent auction, opportunity drawing for large items, concert tickets, a lemon themed restaurant competition, and much more.
